Wendy Doak

Visually inspired by everything around me, I paint it all.  My subjects vary from still life to seascapes, and my style changes from impressionist to abstract depending on my mood. I graduated from Washington and Lee University with a major in Studio Art and concentration in Art History. My work has been influenced over the years by the artists, Henri Matisse, Elmer Bischoff, Richard Deibenkorn, Louise Herreshoff and more recently, by Mark Rothko and Barnett Newman. Having worked in a few Baltimore art galleries and taught high school art for five years, I now paint full time in my Baltimore home studio when not taking care of my two teenagers and husband. :)

My work can be found at Bozzuto Greene Art, Capital Artist Collective, One Kings Lane, and Serena and Lily. Other available work is listed on my website.
